Rigidized Metals’ InvariTone is honored to be an Honorable Mention in the Outdoor Surfaces category in The Architect’s Newspaper’s Best of Product Awards!
InvariTone is a stainless steel finish with moderate gloss that offers a domestic alternative to other similar embossed stainless steel products that need to be imported. InvariTone is a uniformly textured, non-directional stainless steel finish that provides excellent panel-to-panel matching and has no coatings to deteriorate, so it will last indefinitely with little maintenance due to the naturally cleaning properties of the finish. Since InvariTone is a micro texture, its surface is low energy and resists anything adhering to it such as dirt or salt particles, which will rinse away naturally in wet weather. Our studies have also found that InvariTone has a solar reflectance rate of around 94%, so when properly utilized, it will not only improve the efficiency of the building’s internal climate, it can also help to reduce the heat island effect surrounding it.
InvariTone can be used for roofing, walls, coping, trim, or anywhere a natural looking, sustainable product is desired. InvariTone gives off an elegant glow while not creating any focused glare, making it perfect for urban environments. The micro texture surface of InvariTone is hydrophobic, so utilizing it where rain can naturally rinse the panel surface will help keep it looking beautiful for years to come. InvariTone is a great solution for anyone looking for a uniform stainless steel to safely reflect the environment around it and provide a truly unique look.
