Rigidized® Metals’ engineered metal surfaces in stainless steel, aluminum, copper, titanium, carbon, brass and bronze, as well as our manufactured panel systems, have been third-party verified as compliant with LEED v.4 and other environmental bodies.
Rigidized® Metals now has third-party verified documents declaring that our vast selection of metal surface designs and installable systems can now be easily integrated into LEED projects.
It’s now easier than ever for architects and construction professionals to build with metal surfaces that are engineered for architectural applications. The substantial increase in LEED certified projects has reduced the selection of products and materials to those that offer energy and health declarations (EPDs and HPDs). The marketplace has been slow to respond to the need for these documents.
Our LEED-compliant Environmental Product Declarations and Health Product Declarations are available for download at www.rigidized.com, as well as through Spot® UL (EPDs) and in the HPD Public Repository (HPDs). An LCA report is available upon request.
In keeping with our commitment to make metal better, many of our surface designs are simply cold rolled into bare metal, sparing the environmental impact of coating systems that are otherwise required to decorate and protect ordinary metal surfaces.
In addition, we have naturally-cleaning hydrophobic metal surfaces that stay clean indefinitely. Did you know that stainless steel is a natural radiant barrier that reflects 94% of the Sun’s radiation? A hydrophobic stainless steel surface can maintain that performance in the long term, and look great in the process!
Providing sustainable products and services is at the forefront of our business goals. Not only are we focusing on making our products and services more sustainable environmentally, socially and economically on all fronts, our employees are also continuously striving to make our world a more sustainable place for future generations.
Rigidized® Metals offers over 150 guide specifications in three-part format, along with product data sheets and other technical information. Designers, specification writers, project managers and other building industry professionals have ready access to the resources they need.
