Introducing Pattern 1WND

Pattern 1WND, affectionally named to evoke ‘Wind on the Water’, as it represents Rigidized® Metals’ home on the waterfront of Buffalo, NY, is the newest of Rigidized® Metals’ family of engineered metal surface patterns. It is a rolled pattern that gives the illusion of wind on the water, representing the likeness of condensation, water droplets, or, indeed, wind on water. The result is an efficiently manufactured sheet metal material that looks like artisans crafted the surface to create an image from nature.

The glistening effect of moisture is enhanced by the bright annealed finish, and its availability in stainless steel alloys prevents rust and corrosion, making it ideal for both interior and exterior applications.

1WND is available in Types 304, 316 and 2205 stainless steel alloys with a bright annealed finish. Standard sheet sizes are 48” wide, max, with lengths up to 144”.

Pattern 1WND can be used in any application that our deep textures are used in. Available in sheet form, and typically used for architectural applications, this pattern will provide aesthetics and water-like effects in areas such as wall cladding and panel systems, ceiling panels, counter and bar tops and fronts, and back splashes. Our custom fabrication capabilities also allow for this pattern to be used in signage, public art, and other custom applications. Available in stainless steel alloys, this pattern can be used on both interior and exterior architectural and design applications.
