Fouling in a Vipertex® 1EHT Tube
HEAT TRANSFER IN A VIPERTEX® MODEL 1EHT TUBE AND A SMOOTH STAINLESS STEEL TUBE UNDER FOULING CONDITIONS FOR A FLOWRATE OF 3.79 L/MIN, HOT SIDE TEMPERATURE OF 70 DEG F (21 DEG C) AND COLD SIDE TEMPERATURE OF 40 DEG F (4.4 DEG C)
This figure shows the enhanced performance of the transient heat transfer of the Vipertex® EHT series tubes when compared to a smooth tube under fouling conditions. It presents the slope of the best fit line that describes the fouling in the smooth tube as -0.0183 , compared to -0.0094 for the Vipertex® 1EHT series tube; a considerable difference for this short time period.
Vipertex® EHT series of tubes demonstrate a decrease in the rate of fouling compared to smooth tubes (when evaluated for the same set of fouling conditions).
